MEDICAL HEALTH SCREENINGS & PACKAGES

Damai Specialist Hospital believes that "Prevention is better than cure". In line with this philosophy, we offer comprehensive health screening packages that meet the demands of all individuals.All health screening process will be attended by professional healthcare providers with sophisticated technology used to help in early detection and treatment for illness and diseases.

Through our customised and evidence-based health screenings, we provide an accurate assessment of your health. Follow-up is also available to address specific health concerns. If you have a pre-existing health condition or a family medical history we should know about, please inform our doctor.

Important Instructions for Health Check-up
1. Report to the hospital reception at the appointment time on empty stomach. Fasting required for 10 – 12 hours
2. Time taken for the check-ups ranges between 4 to 5 hours
3. Light refreshment will be provided by DmSH
4. Opinion and advice will be given by the consultant on the basis of the test reports in the package.
5. Any further tests or consultation will not be a part of this package and hence will be charged extra. The availability of reports in such instances will depend on the nature of the tests.

HOSPITAL ADMISSION & DISCHARGE

Our operating hours for Admission and Discharge Services (1st Floor) as below:-

Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Admission after office hours, weekends and on Public Holidays are to be refer to Main Lobby at Ground Floor.

1. HOSPITAL ADMISSION

a. THINGS REQUIRE FOR ADMISSION
i. What to Bring:
i. Identity Card / Passport / Birth Certificate / Guarantee Letter from Employers
ii. For Health or Medical Cards Holders, please inform our staff prior / upon admission
iii. Medical Reports / X-Rays / Scan / MRI (if any)

ii. Deposit:
Deposit is required upon admission. Payment can be made in Cash or Credit Card. The deposit amount varies on the classification of case and treatment. An additional deposit will be required when your hospital charges or expenses exceed the initial deposit paid. However, any excess after your final bill will be refunded.

iii. Baby and Children:
Parents are advised to bring some toys and milk (if your child is on infant formula).

iv. What not to Bring:
i. Any valuables or large amount of money. The hospital will not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings or money left in your room

b. DURING YOUR STAY
i. Meal Services
Meals are complimentary to the patient except for day case. If there is any special need please inform the nursing staff.

ii. Nurse Call
A nurse call bell is located near your bed and the bathroom should assistance needed.

iii. Visitation
Visiting time is flexible till 10:00pm. However, we recommended visiting hours be restricted to 11:30am-2:30pm & 4:30pm-9:30pm to ensure patients have sufficient rest. It is also not advisable for visitors to bring small children to the wards to avoid cross infection.

2. HOSPITAL DISCHARGE


a. GOING HOME
You will be discharged upon your Consultant's advice. Insurance paying cases will be subjected to final approval by the insurance company.

b. MODE OF PAYMENT
We accept:
i. Cash and Credit Card.
ii. Guarantee Letter (GL)
iii. Health or Medical Card: As acquiring approval from your insurance company usually require a minimum of 2 hours. If you do not wish to wait for your final bill and confirmation Letter from your insurance company, you are required to pay small sum of deposit (10 to 15% of total amount) upon discharge. The said deposit will be refunded when approval from insurance company is granted.

c. REFUND OF EXCESS DEPOSIT
The hospital will refund excess deposit paid by cash if the amount is below RM200 upon discharge. However, refunds of deposit for insurance cases will only be made approximately 1 to 2 working days after discharged (for those who did not wait for their finalbill).
Any excess amount exceeding RM200 will only be refunded by cheque within 7 working days. Refunds can be collected at Admission and Discharge Services (1st Floor) during office hours. For your convenience, the hospital can assist you to deposit your cheque into your bank account around Kota Kinabalu area upon request.

HOME NURSING SERVICES

This service is available to patients who have been recently discharged for personalized care in the comfort of their home. We help you to manage your recovery and also provide care for mother and babies.

PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES

KPJ Damai Specialist Hospital provides physiotherapy care for in patients and outpatient under trained physiotherapists. The type of physiotherapy is decided by the referring doctor and our experienced physiotherapists' help patients overcome their physical problems and improve wellbeing and fitness.
